Luke Chapman has a broad-ranging practice encompassing all areas of commercial litigation.
He also has experience appearing in the Independent Commission Against Corruption, defamation trials and white-collar crime matters.
Luke is a member of the General Criminal Law Panel for the New South Wales Legal Aid Commission (appointed without conditions 2016) and the Junior Counsel Panel for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (appointed 2017).
Luke maintains a current Commonwealth Security Clearance, NV 1 (Secret).
Luke is also a Captain in the Australian Army Legal Corps.
Previously, Luke was a Senior Litigation Lawyer in the Proceeds of Crime Taskforce of the Australian Federal Police, where he developed a particular expertise in confiscation proceedings, as well as anti-money laundering (AML/CTF) regulation and enforcement.
Luke was also a Senior Associate at Henry Davis York Lawyers for over 6 years, practising principally in commercial litigation and insolvency.
In 2006, Luke served as Tipstaff to The Hon. Mr. Justice K.R. Handley AO OStJ QC of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.
