Over two years after lodging a complaint with the Australian Human Rights Commission and with a two-week trial in the Federal Court due to start on 30 November 2026, the applicant, Alon Cassuto, CEO of the Zionist Federation of Australia, has discontinued proceedings against former SBS World News presenter, Mary Kostakidis, for alleged breaches of s 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth).
