ABOUT

Alexander is an experienced advocate who accepts briefs to advise and appear in all areas of law. Since coming to the bar, he has developed a diverse practice that includes administrative law, criminal law, discrimination law, employment law, industrial law and regulatory prosecutions.

He frequently appears led and unled in federal and state courts and tribunals, and is regularly briefed by government agencies, regulators, unions and private clients, both in New South Wales and inter-state.

Prior to coming to the bar, Alexander practised in a variety of roles as a solicitor, including as Crown Prosecutor in the Northern Territory. During that time, he frequently appeared unled in the Local, District and Supreme Court, including as Crown Prosecutor in Supreme Court jury trials.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Sydney. In 2025, he completed a Master of Law (International Criminal Law) from Leiden University, which he received summa cum laude. His Master’s thesis interrogated the concept of “reasonable accommodations” as a norm of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and its relevance to the procedures adopted when defendants are declared unfit to stand trial at the International Criminal Court.

Alexander is fluent in French.
