Readership
6 St James Hall accommodates one Reader for each of the May and September intakes of the Bar Readers’ Course.
Readership positions for 2026 and May 2027 are full. Applications for September 2027 will open in May 2026.
Successful applicants are offered 12 months of accommodation at a cost of $500 (excl. GST) per month plus disbursements (photocopying, postage etc).
It is recommended that arrangements for seeking a tutor should be initiated between six months to a year before coming to the bar. The following members of chambers are approved tutors.
